My Glory Transforms You
There are paintings that begin with an idea, and then there are paintings that seem to reveal their meaning as they unfold.
My Glory Transforms You became one of those pieces.
As I painted, layers of soft pink blooms began gathering around a deep blue-black vessel. Loose greenery moves throughout the composition, while touches of blue, olive, blush, cream, and deeper tones create contrast and movement.
The vessel itself became an important part of the painting.
Against its darkness, I added delicate botanical linework—small flowers and leaves emerging across its surface. There is something about those marks that feels like transformation made visible.
And that became the heart behind the name.
My Glory Transforms You.
We can spend so much of our lives trying to change ourselves—trying harder, fixing, striving, becoming.
But true transformation happens differently.
When we remain close to Jesus, His presence changes us.
His glory reaches places effort cannot. He softens what has become hard, brings life into places that have felt dormant, and continues forming us into who He created us to be.
The vessel does not have to transform itself.
It simply remains available to what it carries.
My Glory Transforms You is a reminder that perhaps our invitation is much the same—to remain close, stay open, and allow the presence of God to do in us what we could never accomplish through striving alone.
