Let Me Move Your Heart was painted live, beginning with a vessel and flowers and allowing the composition to develop intuitively as I worked.
Rather than carefully planning every bloom, color, and mark, I followed what the painting seemed to need next.
Large pink florals emerge among smaller, loosely painted blooms and layers of expressive greenery, while the vessel underneath carries its own unexpected details, lines, and color.
There is movement throughout this piece—the kind that comes when I stop trying to control every part of the process and simply respond to what is happening on the canvas.
And perhaps that is part of what inspired its name.
Let Me Move Your Heart feels like an invitation to remain open—to beauty, to change, to what catches our attention, and ultimately to the ways God can move our hearts when we give Him room.
