Sometimes inspiration begins with something as simple as noticing an object you love.
Beauty Carried was inspired by a blue vase I came across at Target. Something about its color and shape caught my attention, and I could immediately imagine it filled with flowers and translated through paint.
I painted this piece live from my home studio, allowing the arrangement to develop loosely and intuitively rather than carefully defining every petal and leaf.
Soft pink florals emerge from the blue vessel through expressive layers and relaxed brushwork, while the warmth surrounding them gives the painting a gentle glow.
There is something I love about taking an ordinary object and seeing the possibility for beauty within it.
A vessel doesn't create what it carries, but it gives it a place to be held, displayed, and shared.
Beauty Carried is a reminder that perhaps we are much the same.
We carry stories, gifts, beauty, and experiences within us—and sometimes what we carry becomes part of the beauty we offer the world.
